Good menu design is paramount to proper restaurant marketing. No matter if it’s a mom-and-pop greasy spoon or a 5-star place, the restaurant menu is the key tool to marketing and promoting its product. The menu must also communicate the style and mood of the restaurant. For example, if the restaurant is a classy and expensive place, then a loud, colorful laminated menu is not the way to go. Perhaps a clean and elegant arrangement is more of the menu design you seek. Also to keep in mind, make sure your designer adds your website’s QR-code and a Facebook social link if available.
The menu designer has three key elements to consider when creating this restaurant promotional:
1) The menu must display dramatic images of the food.
2) The prices and descriptions need to be legible and easy to decipher.
3) The menu design itself must reflect the style/mood/atmosphere of the restaurant
If these key elements are met, the final product should be a great advertisement/promotional and marketing tool for the restaurant.
HELPFUL TIP: Do NOT add photographs to your menu that are weak, out of focus or portray the food in an bad light. This will scare away the customer from ordering the dish or from ordering anything, period.
